Erratic on Ben Lediby ~Susan-K-Dailey

Well...I may have been erratic on Ben Ledi, but this type of boulder is called an erratic, left there by the last glacial stadial of the ice age, 10,000 years ago.

Taken near the summit of Ben Ledi, the Trossachs, Scotland

where i live in Wisconsin we have the same evidence of glacial deposits. Kettle Moraine. precisely this feel, you speak this language elegantly. 10,000 years ago the ice retreated here and in your home allowing us the knowledge of geology as clues to our humanity

Yup the ice reached as far south as literally 3 miles north of my house which is why Loch Lomond is such a strange shape

It is funny to see an erratic rock, of course is erratic in geological time, but it doesn't move much

Well there's a fave for sure. Gorgeous fog and I love the blue tones of the sky leading down to the saturated colors of the grasses. Really nice!
